Note: No additional wiring harness or switch is included. A suitable inline switch or relay is recommended for switched operation.

Electrical-Fit Checklist

Before installation, confirm the following:

• ✔ 12V DC or 24V DC supply available at the mounting location (compatible range: 12V–28V)
• ✔ Existing circuit fused at 5A or less, or install an inline 3A fuse on the positive lead
• ✔ Wire run is adequate — use minimum 2-core 3A-rated cable (0.75mm² or larger)
• ✔ Mounting surface is solid and flat (aluminium awning rail, caravan wall, or equivalent)
• ✔ Sealant (silicone or self-amalgamating tape) is on hand for any cable entry points
• ✔ Isolate the circuit at the 12V distribution board before commencing work

Mounting Instructions

1. Choose your mounting position. The light suits underside awning rail mounting or direct surface mounting on a caravan or camper wall. Allow enough cable slack to reach your 12V supply.
2. Mark and drill fixing holes. Hold the light in position, mark the two fixing hole centres, and drill pilot holes appropriate for the supplied screws. For aluminium profiles, use a 3mm pilot bit.
3. Route the cable. Feed the 2-wire lead through a grommet or cable entry point into the caravan. Seal any penetrations with silicone to maintain weatherproofing.
4. Secure the light. Fasten the light to the surface using the supplied screws. Do not overtighten on thin aluminium sections — use a backing plate if required.
5. Connect the wiring. Connect the red (positive) lead to the +12V supply via an inline 3A fuse or fused terminal, and the black (negative) lead to chassis ground or the negative bus. Polarity must be observed — reverse polarity may damage the unit.
6. Test before final tidy-up. Restore power and test both White and Amber modes before cable-tying or concealing the wiring run.
7. Final seal. Apply silicone around the base of the light if mounted to an exterior surface exposed to rain, to maintain the IP67 rating of the unit against water ingress at the fixing points.

Troubleshooting

• Light does not turn on: Check the inline fuse, verify polarity (red = positive), and confirm the supply voltage is within 12V–28V. Test supply voltage at the wire termination point with a multimeter.
• One colour mode works, the other does not: The white and amber LEDs use separate circuits. Check that both positive and negative connections are secure and that the mode switch (if fitted externally) is functioning.
• Flickering or intermittent light: Usually caused by a loose terminal connection or a corroded crimp. Re-crimp or replace connectors and ensure all connections are tight and waterproofed.
• Dim output: Confirm supply voltage at the light terminals is at least 11V under load. Excessive voltage drop indicates underrated cable — upgrade to a heavier gauge.
• Water ingress: The unit is rated IP67, but mounting holes are not sealed by default. Apply a bead of marine-grade silicone around the base and seal all cable entry points.
